Dehradun became my new home in December 2020.
Starting life up here has had its few problems, like finding a place to live.
We arrived three man strong in a Ford Ecosport, each of us packing one suitcase.. An 8 hour drive assisted by Google Maps had taken us from Faridabad, just south of Delhi to Dehradun. Google was of course not responsible for the heavy fog, but the driver, my brother-in-law Aashish, must have been very tired when we pulled up in front of the small cottage we had borrowed from friends for a few days.
Artificial Intiligence has a long way to come, and I´ll propably write another article about that another day.
Reaching Dehradun, when approching from the south is always a magnificent experiense. You actually leave the Indian Sub-continent when you drive up in to the Doon Valley through the Sub-Himalayan range.
